Leo Schreven Passed Away Dec 1, 2012

This week has been full of bizarre events.  This one is a big shock to me.  They say the brightest flames burn quickest, and this guy certainly burned bright.  In his short 51 years of life he spoke more words than the average would get out in 150 years.  I can only hope to see him on the other side, and thank him for helping me on my path to the truth.

Please pray for Leo’s family.   I am still in shock, I can’t imagine how they are feeling.

**UPDATE**

Here is the official statement (updated):

Leo Schreven, 51, of Kettle Falls, WA, unexpectedly passed away on Saturday, December 1.

Leo was born to Leonardus and Johanna Schreven, May 19, 1961 in Phoenix, Arizona.  Leo married Tamara Fields Schreven in 1983 and they made their home in KettleFalls for the past 23 years.

Leo served as an evangelist in the Seventh-dayAdventistChurch for 30 years. His ministry touched the lives of countless thousands around the world and he will be remembered as a dynamic preacher who helped people find Jesus as their Savior. His All Power seminars have blessed multitudes and his DVDs and sermons will continue to benefit future generations.

Leo loved camping, boating, hiking, reading, horses and time with his family.

Leo is survived by his wife Tamara, daughter Cierra, parents Leonardus and Johanna, brothers John, Herman, sister Nellie, their spouses and children.

The family will hold a private service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial gifts in Leo’s name be made out to All Power Ministries, PO Box 1158, Kettle Falls, WA  99141.  You can mark it for a memorial fund for Cierra or for Crystal Peaks Youth Ranch.

“And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, no sorrow, nor crying; and there shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.  Then He who sat on the throne said, ‘Behold, I make all things new.’  And He said to me, ‘Write, for these words are true and faithful.’” Revelation 21:4, 5

  1. Dear Leo and Family

I m Lei a Chinese live in New Zealand . I met Leo twice at Auckland New Zealand 2007 and 2008. I m very glad that I personally talked with Leo . I never doubt that Leo is the best ever I experienced in my life including future. Leo is true gift to Lord’s Children. I had hard time in my life when I met Leo and now hard time hand gone and Leo and his blessing never leave me alone.

I try to think and believe Leo didn’t leave us and on opposite Leo lived in us.

It’s sad when people still alive but they already died in people’s heart.
It’s glad when people passed away but they still live in people’s heart.

    Sincerely Yours,

    Lei ZHENG

  2. Absolutely shocking to hear the news. I can imagine how down his family might be, but I also know that they can share in the hope of the second coming of Jesus. Leo said that he always longed to meet his (and my) Saviour and that moment will come in the blink of an eye now. I know the All Power Ministry will keep going on strong and strengthen even more in the days, months and years ahead because God has his hand of blessings over it. Remember Romans 8:28.
Blessings to Tamara and Cierra. I know what it feels like to lose a parent or grandparent, but I know you guys will stand strong in this time of adversity. Joshua 1:9 and Psalms 91.

  3. We had the honour of welcoming Leo at our place of worship in Central London earlier this year. Many, including myself, were inspired to have a closer walk with Jesus and believe in His All Present Power!

Leo, you walked with Him here on earth, and the moment you open your eyes once again you are walking towards our Saviour Jesus Christ!
    Till then!

Dear Tamara and Cierra, thank you for having allowed Leo to share time with us in England! God’s strength and caring arms are wrapped around you both

    Geert
    Pastor Central London Church, England

  4. Leo was truly an inspiration. For sure one of the best motivational speakers I have ever heard. I pray that his passing will motivate thousands to carry on in his place. May God bless his family.

  5. Very shocked to learn of Pastor Leo’s sudden death. It would help to know the cause/s. Pastor Leo and his family came to deliver the All Power Seminar which is coupled with a Daniel/Revelation Seminar to our city, Davenport, IA two times a few years ago. Many of the Shepherd’s people “came out of her” and joined the true Bible following church. Pastor Leo will be heavily missed. Reminds me of Joe Crews. We’ll surely see him again someday in the sweet by and by.

  6. Dear Tamara and Cierra!
Thank you for sharing leo with the world. Many will be in the kingdom one day because of the sacrifice you have made along with Leo. He will surely be missed. I pray that God will give your strenght and hope during this very challenging time.
Take comfort in the knowledge that Jesus returns soon and we will be reunited with those that rest in the Lord
    God bless
    Jason

  7. What a shock! Truly Leo was a man after God’s own heart . . . Please know, Tamara and Cierra, that your family is being uplifted in prayer in Kentucky. Surely, Jesus will soon be here and you will see your beloved again!

  8. This is a terrible lost. I would like to spread God’s words with the same enthusiasm and fervor that Leo did in his short but very productive life.

  9. So sorry to hear about the death of Leo. Our prayers are with Tammy and the family. It won’t be long before Christ coming is near, but he will truly be missed.

  10. I am so saddened by this, but confused by the official statement. Can anyone share what happened to cause his “unexpected” death?

  11. I am saddened to hear that brother Leo has fallen asleep.
I have had the privilege of knowing him through his work.
He was truly a man driving for exellence in what he did.
He positively affected my life in more than one direction and I am indepted to him for his quest to serve others. I look forward to the ressurection morning when we shall meet face to face. To Tamara and Ciera, though we have never met, I will be praying for their strength. CaptanT

  12. What a shock! Life is too short. Though Leo is gone physically, he remains and will remain in my heart and those whose lives he had touched. He is a blessing to the world. My sincere prayers are with his family and all those who mourn , including myself.

Until we meet him in heaven, Goodbye Leo.

  13. My husband and myself are both born again sda Christians through Leo Schrevens revelation seminar which we saw on video tapes in 2003 and met him in person only briefly at an all power seminar. We haven’t seen or heard much of him in our area in a long time and always wish we would of. I’m sure he was working too hard. God Bless his family.

    In Jesus, Jeannine

  14. I am so grateful for Leo’s ministry and seminars that helped guide me and my family into knowing the truth. Prayers for his family and God Bless,

Leo, you will surely be missed but have left a legacy of truth for others to follow.
The next thing you will see is Jesus! Praise God!

  15. Rest awhile my friend, until we meet again as, Jesus is comming soon.
Will be pray for Tamara, daughter Cierra, parents, brothers John and Herman, sister Ella, and their spouses and children for our Lord and saviour to give them strength and enfold them with His Love. Amen

  16. Pastor Leo was a very dynamic leader and tireless worker.
He came to Canada to a very challenging city and God greatly blessed his efforts and many made decisions for Christ. We will miss him and wish his wife and daughter God’s continued blessings. —Dale & Joy Thomas

  17. You were always full of surprises my friend. This one however, is an incredible shock to all of us. You will be sorely missed by many. Your ministry always pushed the boundaries and won many souls for the Lord. I look forward to seeing you when the Lord comes to gather His church to Himself and we will all enjoy the glories of Christ’s eternal kingdom. Tamara, both you and Cierra will be in our prayers as you say farewell to a wonderful husband and father. May the Lord bless you with strength as you say goodbye for now. Please remember that morning is coming soon. The Lord be close to you and the family.
